September 3-4, “Shanghai Enterprises to Visit Dalian”, a series of economic and trade cooperation and communication activities, was held in Bangchui Island. The mayor of Shanghai Ying Yong led a party and government delegation as well as an economic and trade delegation to the event, and Secretary of Liaoning Provincial Committee of CPC Li Xi, Provincial Governor Chen Qiufa, Secretary of Dalian Municipal Committee of CPC Tan Zuojun and Major Xiao Shengfeng attended the event. Director of Free Trade Zone Administrative Committee Liu Aimin and Deputy Director Chen Yushi also participated in the event with relevant entrepreneurs, accompanied by relevant staff from the Economic and Trade Bureau.

Chen Yushi, on behalf of the Administrative Committee of the Free Trade Zone, signed an official cooperation agreement with Port of Dalian, Shanghai Hengzhen Energy Development Co., Ltd. and Dalian Inteh Holdings Ltd. on Dalian LNG Logistics Hub Port Project to accelerate the landing of the project and signed an agreement with Shanghai Future Land Holdings Ltd. on “Future Land ? Future Happiness” Project planning to build an urban complex that had integrated shopping malls, boutique commercial blocks, office buildings, residential buildings and serviced apartments, and the total investment of the two projects was about 5 billion CNY.

Over the years, the Free Trade Zone has always regarded the Yangtze River Delta (Shanghai) as an important investment promotion area and gained phenomenal results by highlighting the key points and using targeted communications through measures like economic and trade talks, visits, investigations, “knock-at-the-door investment attraction” and etc. led by main leaders of the district.

This year, with the official opening of China (Dalian) Pilot Free Trade Zone, a one-to-one cooperation mechanism has been established between Shanghai and Dalian, which provides the Free Trade Zone a golden opportunity to learn fully from a benchmark model. And the Free Trade Zone has gained new impetus for development by learning advanced concepts and established experience, strengthening the weak points and stimulating the vitality.
