China's economy achieved 6.9 percent annual growth in 2017, with its Gross Domestic Product totaling 82.7 trillion yuan.

Shanghai became the first Chinese city to have a GDP of over 3 trillion yuan in 2017, according to data released by the local government.

Here are the 10 cities with the best performance in terms of GDP in 2017.

No 10.  Hangzhou of Zhejiang province, with a GDP of 1.13 trillion yuan
